An ambitious dental practitioner is on her way to achieving her career dream after embarking on a Bury College apprenticeship.
Mia Carswell has successfully completed her Level 2 Dental Nursing qualification and has progressed onto the Level 3 apprenticeship which she is due to complete in October 2020.
Coming from a family of hardworking dental therapists, Mia felt inspired to follow in her Mother and Grandfather’s footsteps and secure qualifications which will lead her to achieving her long-term career goal of becoming a Dental Orthodontist.
22-year-old Mia is currently working as a Trainee Dental Care Professional at Alkrington Dental based in Middleton and she enjoys undertaking a range of roles and responsibilities within the surgery and on the main reception.
The former Middleton Technology School pupil said, “I am really enjoying my apprenticeship, my Assessor is great and I receive a lot of support. I chose the apprenticeship route because I wanted to progress my career and I like the hands-on work and face-to-face contact I have with our patients.”
