A range of career-enhancing free courses are available at Bury College for adults who are interested in developing a range of new skills.  

Specifically designed to provide adults with the opportunity to gain news skills, knowledge and experience, the free courses are available in a range of different areas and at different levels.

The range of courses include Business and Accounting, Care, Catering, Childhood Studies, IT, Construction, Hair and Beauty and Sport and Fitness.

The courses offer adults the chance to improve existing skills, enhance career prospects or change career direction. Adults are invited to kick-start a career in the fitness industry with a free* Level 1 Award in Active, Healthy Living which is a course that explains the links between activity, healthy living and improved health. This course would also be of use to individuals who simply want to improve their own health and well-being.  Upon completion of this course, individuals may progress onto a level 2 qualification in Fitness Instruction.

Showcasing work in photography, graphic design, games art and mixed media, the exhibition highlighted how students are using creativity to explore contemporary issues, develop professional skills and prepare for exciting futures in the creative industries.

The experience provided opportunities to learn from leading healthcare professionals across Europe and bring new ideas, techniques and industry knowledge back to the classroom, helping to enhance learning opportunities for students.
