Kyjanae Trott has found employment at Christ Church Ainsworth Primary School after being successful on her Bury College Supported Internship programme.
Kyjanae has progressed through the various Foundation Studies courses at Bury College and has always dreamed of working with children. She said: “I have loved working with the children at Christ Church. I was nervous at the start but the staff at Bury College have always been there to support me and that has made me feel a lot more confident.”
Liz Greenhalgh, a Supported Internship Job Coach at Bury College, said: "I am really proud of Kyjanae. She has worked so hard to get to this stage. It has been amazing to see her thrive in this job, and I believe she can continue with this progress."
Lisa Griffiths, Business Manager at Christ Church Ainsworth Primary School said: "We have been delighted to support Kyjanae in her Supported Internship journey and to be able to offer her a position at Christ Church Ainsworth. We encourage and promote diversity within our workforce and Kyjanae is proving to be a great asset to the school."
With a Supported Internship, students will take part in three intensive work experience places at local employers which will see them develop the employment skills required to thrive. Click here for more information
