A former Bury College Hairdressing Apprentice has come full circle, embarking on an exciting teaching career which will see him inspire the next generation of Hairdressers.
This course is an introduction to the sector and is designed to build on your interest and passion for the industry. It will help you learn the basics of women’s and men’s hair styling and give an introduction to the hairdressing industry. It will also give an introduction to presenting a professional image in a Salon.
Study in our new state-of-the-art Hair and Beauty Centre
The ground floor of this new building is home to a 12-bed Media Make-up and special effects studio, a commercial 24-station hair salon and a 24-station make-up studio.
The first floor comprises of a 12-bed Nail Clinic, two 12-bed beauty clinics and a 24-station hair salon. On the third floor, learners are now benefitting from two 24-station hair and barbering salons and both IT and general teaching space to support the specialist facilities.

Research from the governing body of the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) said that the hair and beauty industry generated £4.56bn in turnover in 2022-2023. Our range of courses will allow you to gain the skills needed to be a success in this industry.

Many of our adult learners pay for their Level 3 and above courses with an Advanced Learner Loan. If a loan is available this is indicated in the course details. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there are no credit checks. You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £25,000 per year.
