Health student thriving at Bury College after moving from Ukraine
Sofiia Marmoliuk is a Health student with a fascinating story to tell and amazing plans for the future.
The Early Years Lead Practitioner pathway is for those looking to be a proactive and influential practitioner, working directly with children, and skilfully leading day-to-day practice at an operational level. As active practitioners they are effective role models of play-based learning, supporting others to develop their own practice.
They are highly skilled professionals who take an operational lead for the care, learning and development of all young children within their care, adapting to individual needs and providing inclusive and holistic provision.
Key Learning Aims include:

· Speech and Language Theories
· Aspirational Approaches
You will attend college classes taking place for one half day every 6 weeks and will also receive one-to-one support in the workplace with a dedicated Learning and Skills Coach.
You will complete an End Point Assessment with the awarding body NCFE and will cover the following areas:
• Observation with questions
• Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
• Case study with report and presentation questioning

You will also engage in the Positive Futures Careers Programme, developing key employability skills through a diverse range of activities including work placements, volunteering, employer talks, industry study visits and employment and university fairs.
