The 10th February marked the start of National Apprenticeship Week 2025 and gave us a great opportunity to catch up with some of our former apprentices. See what they had to say about life after their apprenticeship.
This T Level will equip you with the core knowledge and skills relevant to a career in the science industry. It provides up-to-date occupational information and experiences that have continued currency amongst employers and universities. The industry placements will provide you with the opportunity to develop the behaviours required for skilled employment in your chosen occupation, which are less easily attainable by the qualification alone.
You will develop your knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
· Working within the health and science sector
· Health, safety and environmental regulations
· Data handling and processing
· Good scientific and clinical practice
· Experimental equipment and techniques
· Core science concepts
· Project management
The occupational specialism, Laboratory Sciences will allow you to:
· Perform a range of appropriate scientific techniques to collect experimental data in a laboratory setting, complying with regulations and requirements
· Plan, review, implement and suggest improvements to scientific tasks relevant to a laboratory setting
· Identify and resolve issues with scientific equipment or data errors
· Exams
· Employer Set Projects
· Controlled Assessments
· Practical Skills Tests
