Our Childcare courses are designed to build the knowledge and skills you will need when working with children.
During your course you will study a wide range of subjects in college and have the opportunity to put new skills into practice whilst on work placement. You will need to be a reliable and enthusiastic person with sensitivity to the needs of children and be willing to work hard. Successful completion at Level 3 will give you a professional qualification to work with children, without supervision, in a wide range of different work roles.
You will benefit from hands-on experience of working with children in a real childcare setting. Our facilities include an on-site Nursery and Forest School.
Please note, a DBS check will be required when you enrol on the course in order to complete a placement.

This programme includes a Transition Module and a 5-day work experience placement to support progression onto a T Level in Education and Childcare.
You will be assessed using a range of methods, includes direct observation in the workplace as part of your practical placement.
