How Bury College provides ESOL learners with an introduction to life in the UK
ESOL (English as a Second Language) learners from our Step Up to Prospects course recently celebrated their achievements over the last year.
This course is suitable for students who wish to further their studies of payroll and gain a qualification at level 2.
The course will give students knowledge and understanding of services, advice and guidance that can be offered to businesses by HMRC, NICO and other payroll agencies. They will also have the skills required to prepare, check and use source documents from which the payroll is processed using computerised payroll systems as required.

There are other level 2 courses which compliment this course that students may wish to study: level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping or level 2 Certificate in Accounting.
Some courses are free for eligible learners, this is shown in the course details. You may be eligible for a free course if you are:
Many of our adult learners pay for their Level 3 and above courses with an Advanced Learner Loan. If a loan is available this is indicated in the course details. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there are no credit checks. You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £25,000 per year.
