Bury College students and staff raise £6,800* for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, and spread the importance of Remembrance Day.
This top-up degree, which is awarded by the University of Cumbria and taught at Bury College University Centre, is aimed at people wanting to work with children, young people and families. It covers a wide range of issues affecting children and families in today’s society.
Your placement is an integral part of the course and allows you to experience real work environments whilst gaining valuable knowledge and skills.

As part of the Personal/Professional Development modules, you will undertake
placements in a variety of settings. This could be paid or voluntary work.

You will also engage in the Positive Futures Careers Programme, developing key employability skills through a diverse range of activities including work placements, volunteering, employer talks, industry study visits and employment and university fairs.
The majority of students will be able to access a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England to pay their HE Course Fee.
Self-funding students may pay in 3 instalments in September (25%), January (25%) and April (50%).
