Applying for our apprenticeship vacancies could not be simpler. Please review all the apprenticeship opportunities below, check you meet the entry requirements then click on the 'apply for this vacancy' button. You will then need to complete the details in the next window and upload your CV. Once we have received your application you will be invited into college for a 30 minute interview and if necessary, to complete maths and/ or English assessments. If you pass this stage we will forward your CV to the employer who will then decide to invite you for the second interview.
About the vacancy
Immediate start to join our small and friendly team within a well-established nursery in Prestwich. You will be working in the nursery alongside a professional and experienced team, learning a range of skills to develop a career working in an Early Year’s setting. You will receive high quality training in all aspects of Child Care.
You will be trained to a high standard in all duties required of you involving keeping the children safe and enhancing their learning and play. This will include:
- Ensuring safety of children at all times
- Supervising outdoor play
- Supervising snacks and lunch
- Supporting development through play
- Carry out activities with the children
- Preparing and feeding children
- Keeping the nursery clean
- To attend additional mandatory training to help with the role and on-going CPD
- Ensuring Safeguarding Procedures are followed
- You will be supported throughout your training
You will receive the following training:
- Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Monthly timetabled classes

Outcome
On successful completion of your apprenticeship you may be offered a permanent contract.
The starting salary is £11,980.80 a year for 36 hours Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 4.00pm. Friday 8.00am - 3.00pm..
The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 4 Months, starting on Monday, March 31 2025. Applications close on Friday, March 21 2025.
