Our UAL Art, Design and Media Level 1 course aims to develop your creative skills so that you can progress to further study in a range of Art and Design disciplines and pursue a successful career in the dynamic world of creative arts. You will be encouraged to explore a variety of creative skills and techniques through both course-led assignments and live brief opportunities. These courses equip you to make confident informed decisions and judgments regarding your work and develop your creative skills in a positive independent manner. You will need to possess a sound artistic ability, good communication skills and the desire to express yourself creatively.
You will benefit from state of-the-art facilities including a photography studio and dark room, industry standard IT suites and design software, laser cutters, creative workshops and media studios.

Our art students have brought a splash of colour and creativity to Bury Hospice with a striking new mural celebrating the spirit of the local community. Painted by students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, the mural features vibrant hydrangeas and iconic Manchester Bees, symbolising unity, resilience, and the six towns of Bury.
