This course offers you the opportunity to study a higher-level qualification in Education, focusing on methods of supporting teaching and learning. You will gain an underpinning knowledge of education theory and practice, covering a wide range of modules such as SEND Understanding Policy and Practice, Safeguarding Children and Young People, and Assessing Learning. The course has been set up to give you the best possible grounding to enter into a career in supporting teaching and learning.

The course will be assessed via a range of methods, including seminars, essays, reports, presentations, role plays, and exams. You will be required to attend one weekly taught session on campus, and the rest of your study will be self-directed. Students must also complete a placement as part of their course, at a minimum of 12 hours per week in a support role, either paid or voluntary.

120 UCAS tariff Points at A Level or equivalent. 5 GCSE grades 9-4 or equivalent including Maths and English. Suitable references and relevant work experience or an alternative qualification.

The majority of students will be able to access a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England to pay their HE Course Fee.

Self-funding students may pay in 3 instalments in September (25%), January (25%) and April (50%).
