Bury College officially launches Hair and Beauty Centre with Plaque Unveiling event
The plaque was unveiled by Chris Trees, Chair of Governors at Bury College.
This course is designed to teach decorators about different spraying systems that are on the market so that they understand how they relate to each other, and which system is most suited for their business.
· The learner will know what different spraying systems are on the market including HVLP, conventional and airless.
· The learner will know the advantages and disadvantages of each system and what type of work each system is ideally suited for.
· The learner will be able to use the controls on the HVLP spray gun to alter your fan size and fluid amount to gain the perfect finish and a range of surfaces.
· The learner will be able to use the controls on a conventional spray gun to alter fan size and fluid amount.
· The learner will understand paint technology and how to prepare paint so that it ca be sprayed using HVLP.
· The learner will understand the compressor set up and how to set the correct pressure.
· The learner will be able to set up the pressure pot system with both the HVLP and conventional systems.
· The learner will be able to spray a range of surfaces using the HVLP or conventional system.
· The learner will understand the difference in speed and finish produced by an airless sprayer.
· The learner will know about health and safety aspects of all the spraying systems.
Assessment will be carried out by the tutor
Upon completion of this course you will earn a digital badge which details the skills you have developed and links to career opportunities. Many of our adult learners pay for their Level 3 and above courses with an Advanced Learner Loan. If a loan is available this is indicated in the course details. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there are no credit checks. You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £25,000 per year.
